Today's families are stressed out to the max. It is often difficult for parents to take the time out of their day to help their child with homework. Each day over 100 youth come to the club looking for assistance and attention.
Power Hour is a program that rewards youth for their efforts towards their homework. Power hour is held every day after school Monday through Thursday from 4:00 to 5:00. Volunteers are always needed in order to give each student the attention they deserve.
Adult tutors are needed to meet weekly with youth to help build
their skills in a particular area. We always have a waiting list
of students in need. Students are matched with tutors according
to interests, personalities, and strengths.
