17th Annual Don James Golf Classic

The 17th annual Don James Golf Classic Presented by CobaltMortgage will be held on September 10, 2010 at the Golf Club at Newcastle.

Last year, with support from our friends at Cobalt Mortgage, the Kirkland Boys and Girls Club, which raised more than $80,000 for our youth! There were 36-hole sponsors, 2 media sponsors and of course our presenting sponsor Cobalt Mortgage. The tournament was supported by 240 golfers who, in addition to playing the full 36-holes, participated in long drive, closest to pin and scramble contests.

The evening began with Dave "Softy" Mahler of KJR Sports Radio thanking the audience for their participation. Presentations were made by Golf Chair John Warnick. The event ended on a high note after a cocktail hour, dinner reception and an auction. There were 25 unique live auction items and dozens of silent items.
